This popular fair known as Craft bazaar is held annually in Kolkata during the month of January. The popular ‘Kolkata Maidan’ stages most of cities fairs & festivals and Craft bazaar is no exception. The basic objective behind conducting the Craft Bazar of Kolkata is to provide a platform where both poor craftsmen as well as small-scale industries can get an opportunity to display their products. The fair witnesses large number of artisans and craftsmen visiting the Kolkata maidan and taking part in the grand proceedings. A big hit amongst the locales, visitors are treated with a plethora of stalls and pavilions exhibiting a wide variety of products ranging from handloom products, crockery, handmade jewelry, bed linens and clothing to other beautiful decorative items for household. The two week long fair is an event not to be missed for everyone touring Kolkata in January.
